Toni, Iceland: Quattro Stagioni

Days go quickly while working at the magazine. I have 1-2 shootings a day plus I'm assisting others whenever necessary. Most of the shootings are done at private homes and offices - sometimes when the weather is ok we do them outside too. The magazine also has a nice studio which is used e.g. for food shots and cover page shots. So there is a nice variety and every day is different.

During the weekend learned how rapidly Icelandic wheather can change and what wind actually means. Rented a car and went to the south. Saturday morning was find, but everything changed in an hour and suddenly the wind speed skyrocketed (average 20 m/s gust over 30 m/s). Locals stayed inside, but poor tourists had to see the wonders that Icelandic nature provides. So dozens of cars got stucked and it was almost impossible to walk or stand without falling down. Learnt also that 1/focal length rule does not apply in heavy wind.

Quote of the day "There are four seasons in Iceland - all in one day".
