Marika, Norway: Foot for sale

From the office

Fifth week went mostly in bed, and trying to keep my foot rested. You can imagine how hard it has been! I’ve been trying to walk short distances when the foot feels okay, but it always gets worse after these walks. I’m almost okay with the fact that I need to move slowly, but the thing that it almost impossible to match two crutches and a camera makes me insane. It really wasn’t my meaning to come here only to lay down and rest the whole time!

From Drammen

Fortunately I’ve got lots of things to do while I’m not able to move around a lot; I’ve been editing last week’s video clips, doing some front-end coding and of course I always found some photos to process. And this week I also got to do some Photoshop stuff after spending most of my weeks with Lightroom.

This is how it's been like for me

On Thursday we continued interviews in Drammen. The purpose of these interviews is to get a video to Lent’s website, where people tell their thoughts about appreciative inquiry (organizational development method used by Lent). My job was actually just sit and push the record button every now and then, and I felt myself totally useless – it would have been so nice to even understand what the people were saying, because I felt the enthusiasm emerge from them. But at least I wasn’t at home in bed!

Sometimes you need to get creative if the tripod is somewhere else!

There’s really not much to write about at the moment, but hopefully my foot gets better during the weekend and I get back to the business properly – if it isn’t, it’s going to be another visit to the doctor…

Yay!
