Lotta, Hungary: In the country

Hello from Budapest!
We arrived here today after a week spent in a horse farm called Akác-tanya at the countryside of Hungary. The week there was full of animals (horses, dogs, snails, deer etc.) and Finnish people. The farm keepers didn't really have any specific tasks for us, but mostly we photographed the horses and activities related to them, such as riding and morning feeding. The horses are situated now for the first summer just beside the accommodation buildings (previous years their horse-ranges were situated at another farm 7 km from Akác-tanya), so we tried to also take pictures, which show that fact as a new, positive thing for the customers.

The life in the country was quite nice and easygoing, although the rainy days were also a little bit boring. Luckily I had a chance to do some horseback riding too. It had been a while since the last time I had been on a horse, so my so-called muscles were quite sore after almost five hours ridingtrip. But it was worth it :)

So, half of my two-week visit in Hungary is over, and second half has started. It's going to be much different here in the hustle and bustle of Budapest, but it's nice to experience that side of this country too.

Kirsi, Hungary: Peaceful, peaceful

In tuesday I started my trip to Hungary with my two stablemate. In Finland it was sunny and wonderful weather but when we landed in Budapest it started to rain quite heavily. At the airport we got a lift to the farm we are living in. Our host, Eero, gave a quick guide in Budapest before we arrived in Üjlengyel. It was a bit shocking to see the main street ;)

We are staying in Akák-tanya for the first week. They are offering among other things accomodation & catering, horseback riding, events, hunting etc. Here is a few pictures from the farm.

We are now leaving to Budapest, maybe there are less horses there :D

Pavel - Barcelona week 3

Because it is the Easter Week, there have been shorter days and many people here have holiday for this week. Anyway, there was still a lot to do, because on Saturday we were part  of the shootings for a big international car company.  They made a global commercial for their new car, having swedish pop singer Lykke Li as their face for the advert. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZYbEL06lEU

During the week we did some shoot at the studio.

The main thing here was the video about their new car model but they also need photos for advertising.

This day gave me a good exaple of how big shootings are made: there was about hundred people. Here is few pics of that week.

Katja, Ireland: Food and Entertainment

Easter time has gone, but getting back to it, it was really eventful time for Galway: it reminded me a bit about Pori during the Jazz Festival week. Lots of people, food and circus for all!

And now the town feels pretty empty.

The weather was really great during the Easter weekend, so no wonder many Irish people changed their spring clothes for more summery ones. The same thing happens normally the 1st of May in Finland despite the weather...... wait and see.

And last but not least, let's not forget the sweet stuff...

Pavel - Barcelona week 2

Second week we had many different shootings in and out of the studio. We had product shoot which was done in studio and model shoot outside. There was also a job for a hotel for their advertising. This week I also did some basic retouching with Sean, who works with Rodrigo. (http://www.seanfotos.com)

In product shootings I learned new things about lightning set ups. Here is some product and documentary pictures from those days.

Model shooting was one at the roof of the building and in the square near by. We used PhaseOne medium format camera and Nikon e800, two beauty dish and reflectors. The shoot were done trough the mirror:

During break I took few photos with one Youngnuo 560 speedlite

While having walks at evenings, I did some street photographing.

After a week eating in restaurant it is great to cook at home.  Photo taken in our kitchen table with one speedlite flash and one white towel as a reflector.
