Einari, Iceland: Here we go.

Hello world! again.

2 weeks has gone like those had wings, and speaking of wings airplanes has wings did you know?

Week started normally at Gudmundur's studio, just kidding it didn't.
I arrived 9 o'clock sharp at the studio. Soon as I stepped my foot in, Gudmundur stand up from he's computer and we went out.
We took he's car and drived to get pictures from the frame maker to he's exhibition.
We packed the car with art and headed to the photographic museum of Reykjavik, there we worked with those pictures all day.
Normally my day at work starts with tee and then I do some photoshopping and darkroom work, that's that.

Now to the airplane part.
Tuesday I flew back to Finland, traveling only took something like 12 hours.
Why you ask me, let me explain. Wednesday there where premiere of "Vuonna 85 manserock elokuva" at Tampere and I was on my way there.
While I was flying to Finland I got message, and yes my phones was on the flight mode but there was wifi on the plane so that's why I received the message. Why? Cause if you send SMS from iPhone to iPhone... Never mind long story short.
In that message were question if I could take some photos from the premiere, and of cause I left my camera to Iceland. So there I was up in the sky, flying hundreds and hundreds of kilometers per hour towards Finland and wondering how on earth I'll handle this.

Thanks to Mikko and Janne, I got a camera and everyone was happy till the end of time.

The End.

Thursday I travelled back 12 hours and more to Iceland, exhausting.

Friday was the day I did sliver prints first time, many of them.

Saturday was opening or should I say premiere of Gudmundur's exhibition at the museum, free wine.

Today (Monday) I also did something for the first time of my little life. I ate Sushi, Danish style.
So I've heard that when there some mayonnaise on top of the sushi rolls its the Danish style of eating those.
Lets say that it was interesting. Not good or bad, so quite ok. But still I prefer cooked fish.
I've done things first time many times already on this trip, so what ever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.

But now again, it's time to close my eyes.
You don't have to, be welcome to look some photos below. Those are from exhibition premiere and from a little lake called: "Tjörnin".

Peace out.
Einari

  1. Fantastic stuff!

I especially like the picture of the kiddo with all the ducks (swans... geese...? identifying birds isn't my strong point). That's really cool.

Sounds like a super worthwhile and educational trip so far. Great to hear and see about it all! :)
