Hello world! again.
2 weeks has gone like those had wings, and speaking of wings airplanes has wings did you know?
Week started normally at Gudmundur's studio, just kidding it didn't.
I arrived 9 o'clock sharp at the studio. Soon as I stepped my foot in, Gudmundur stand up from he's computer and we went out.
We took he's car and drived to get pictures from the frame maker to he's exhibition.
We packed the car with art and headed to the photographic museum of Reykjavik, there we worked with those pictures all day.
Normally my day at work starts with tee and then I do some photoshopping and darkroom work, that's that.
Now to the airplane part.
Tuesday I flew back to Finland, traveling only took something like 12 hours.
Why you ask me, let me explain. Wednesday there where premiere of "Vuonna 85 manserock elokuva" at Tampere and I was on my way there.
While I was flying to Finland I got message, and yes my phones was on the flight mode but there was wifi on the plane so that's why I received the message. Why? Cause if you send SMS from iPhone to iPhone... Never mind long story short.
In that message were question if I could take some photos from the premiere, and of cause I left my camera to Iceland. So there I was up in the sky, flying hundreds and hundreds of kilometers per hour towards Finland and wondering how on earth I'll handle this.
Thanks to Mikko and Janne, I got a camera and everyone was happy till the end of time.
The End.
Thursday I travelled back 12 hours and more to Iceland, exhausting.
Friday was the day I did sliver prints first time, many of them.
Saturday was opening or should I say premiere of Gudmundur's exhibition at the museum, free wine.
Today (Monday) I also did something for the first time of my little life. I ate Sushi, Danish style.
So I've heard that when there some mayonnaise on top of the sushi rolls its the Danish style of eating those.
Lets say that it was interesting. Not good or bad, so quite ok. But still I prefer cooked fish.
I've done things first time many times already on this trip, so what ever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.
But now again, it's time to close my eyes.
You don't have to, be welcome to look some photos below. Those are from exhibition premiere and from a little lake called: "Tjörnin".
Peace out.

Einari, Iceland: First week.
Hello,
Here I am again first week is done and few is still ahead of me.
There has been so many things happening I don't know where to start, but let's just start.
First week is always first week, full of new places, things and people.
Now I can navigate by myself quite good in my opinion. I'm very glad that I bought bus card for a month and all I have doing is not using any busses. I just have been walking everywhere, I even walked to the place where I bought the card two days later and asked my money back. Yep I'm still holding a bus card.
I've been doing many different kind a things in Guðmundur's studio. I've been working with photoshop cleaning some dust and scratches among other things. Now it seems that I will spend long time in the dark. Guðmundur has taught me to develop black and white film in darkroom, and how to make contact sheets. He also borrowed me he's Pentax 67 II and gave me some black and white films, so some day I will be doing my own shots on that darkroom.
And for all of you Guðmundur can be written also like this: Gudmundur. Yes, and this guys is the man. He's been very generous and nice for me, he has shown me places and told me a thousand stories. Very interesting stories and things like that he's mother-in-law has been living in this very basement that I live now at Galtafell, cause long story short this has been her family's house some years ago.
I'm really grateful for all of the new people that I've met, somehow atmosphere here is more warm. And now I'm not talking about the weather, witch is also true but the people here somehow feels more caring and unselfish. I don't know is it the water here that makes that or is it because of all those tourists that they see here all year long.
But yeah, now I think is time to end writing on this lovely blog. For now I mean, I'll be back for some new Icelandic news and maybe some stories that involve me.
And for the end of this here is some photos I digitally took, these contain Gudmundur's studio outside and inside, two shots of Gudmundur working with he's Nikon on location and one shot with door and pole in it.
That's that, until next time.
Einari

Einari, Iceland: Greetings from Iceland
Hello there,
So finaly I started writing on this blog.
Now I have two days behind me and many new things.
I started my trip 0.50 am on 14.1.2013, that was the time taxi came to pick me up.
Then after 3hours on a bus, i finaly arrived to airport.
My first fight to Oslo left 7.30 am and I landed in Reykjavik 3 pm Finnish time.
From airport I took a bus to bus station. Guðny picked me up from there and gave me ride to my new "home", guesthouse Galtafell.
So that was the traveling part in a nutshell.
First day was just getting to know Reykjavik by foot.
And yes, I got lost. But with a map that I took from airport and with my great sense of direction I found back to home in couple of hours.
Then 15.1.2013.
On a second day I met my master Guðmundur, well know photographer from Iceland.
He told me that the name guesthouse that I'm staying means: male pig hill. He Also told me how to make horses laugh and why he prefer film.
And I did some Work also. First task Guðmundur cave me was clean photo from dust and scratches with photoshop.
I posted some pictures that I took from my first day in this beautiful country of Iceland.
In those pictures are shot from Helsinki to Oslo flight, my new home in and outside and one shot from a wall that jumped tp my eyesight.
So thats my first post. Its time to me get some sleep, so thats what I do next.
But now, until next time.
Einari
