Kimi - Fuengirola - Next Stop: Fuengirola /week 1

Sorry about the post delay. The blog information took a bit longer detour before reaching me :)

Sunday 20th April. I’ve just landed to Malaga airport and looking for a train station to continue my travel to apartment I rented from Los Boliches. The weather isn’t really what I expected as it is raining constantly. I meet up with my new landlord and my new boss of the next 6 weeks. I will be working for a local newspaper, Fuengirola.fi, targeted to Finnish people in area. Everything is going smoothly well and I’ll start on my job at 10 am. Late mornings -I think I’m going to love this place.

After first week I have done couple of photo shootings for the magazine and wandered out with my camera a bit. It seems that there is always something to shoot at on that 7 kilometres long road by the shore. 

Reeta & Sari, Spain, Fuengirola: The third week

Hola everybody!

This week we took photos of studying in Sofia-opisto. We participated two pilates lessons and two Spanish lessons as photographers. We also tasted delicious tapas and took pictures of them.

The last week starts now and we have a lot of plans, there's still so much to do and see.

Pavel - Barcelona week 5

This week me and my wife visited in two wineries, in huge Freixenet and in a much smaller Albet i Noya. Both are situated in Penedes wine region, about 30 kilometers from Barcelona. The landscape is absolutely beautiful! We had tours in both wineries, a well organised tourist tour in the Freixenet and a private professional tour in the Albet i Noya.

Albet i Noya is an organig wine producer and you can find some of their products from Finland as well! Of course also Freixenet cavas are in finnish markets, this producer is one of the biggest in the cava region.

It was interesting to see how cavas, the local quality sparkling wines are made and also to see the differencies between these two wineries.

We had our lunch at Cal Xim restaurant near Albet i Noya's winery. We find this with help of Michelin Guide, and no doubt, the place was amazing! It felt like a small holiday to visit there!

Last but not least, I also had a real football experience at Camp Nou stadion with Fc Barcelona vs. Getafe. 

Reeta & Sari, Spain, Fuengirola: Moda A´la Patio

Hola!

Our second week in Fuengirola was more hectic than the first one; we visited the local zoo, we went to Córdoba to see the Patio Festival and we spent a couple of days photographing on the streets. Thursday in Córdoba with a great guide and other finnish people from Sofia academy was an extreme experience because of the 34°C heat!

Katja, Ireland: Photos, Art and a Great Pint

Amusement parks are an inevitable sign of the summer ahead. Even though the weather here in Galway has been really windy, chilly and rainy for the whole last week it does not change the fact that the Ferris Wheel still goes round and Art has been once again filling the town.

I had the loveliest afternoon yesterday after work with a friend. We checked the latest Art Project in town and the Photograph Exhibition in the Town Hall Theatre.

Craving of Art got nicely fulfilled again! 

But human being does not survive without food and.....the pint of Guinness.

Perfect end for a perfect Saturday.

Fuengirola, Spain Anni, Jenna & Jonna

We have been in Fuengirola for a while, but this is the first evening we found a working WI-FI. We have been shooting all the animals of the Fuengirola zoo, at the Feria Internacional festival, test some long shutter-speed photos and basic street photos. Also Sofia-academy gave us some tasks to photograph, next monday we are going to take portraits of the teachers. Time is runnig so fast, even we have had one month. So much to do and see, we should have been here for 2 months at least !
We have met lots of new people, but we still miss you Mikko! Come back, we are waiting you in Refla :)
